Hi all Aussie flyers,
Just had my first run in with the local ranger on an empty beach in one of Perth's suburbs. Nice guy just doing his job but apparently you can't fly (almost) anything 'on or from City of Stirling property without a permit'! I checked out the local council laws and he's right but he had no idea how to get a permit. Talking to the local council offices they didn't know either but said they will find out for me.
This got me thinking so I did a quick search of a couple of the other local government areas (there's a dozen or so here in Perth) and many have very similar wording, although Stirling is the only place to stop me flying. Has anyone else run into this local government issue? and if so how was the process of getting permits?
