It is hard to hold out any hope of flying the I1 with any confidence since the last 2 FW up grades. Trying to add attachments but of course can't.
Ipad Mini says: 2.8.3/ 1.8.01.00+/ 1.6.0/1.8.01.00 and yet sitting in my office I have weak image, no image and when I attempt to fly it comes and goes between image and none.
Samsung says: 2.8.1/ 1.9.01.10/ 1.8.01.00: 1.2.1+ which it read 1.6.0 yesterday.

I would sure like to fly and know I have confidence in the AC but I this point I don't know what it will do.

How about fixing the issue DJI

      I pad mini, can cause Image problems  ( most prevelant on  1 and 2 )  Get an I pad air, full  size and The Image problems will go away. Be sure at the very least , close all other Apps In backround and "Enable " the "hardware Decode " On go app   this may help for the time being.

Also the + sign after the old  version number  means the update is complete, just the device needs to update with the server .
Make sure trans slide is at the right setting as well, I leave mine in the middle for most flying .

Enable Hardware decode will only be seen on the I pad  go version.  EHD is on the " General Settings "  pag just below the Measurement Unit .

It is on my I pad , ( REMEBER , GENERAL SETTINGS PAGE , NOT THE ABOVE EXAMPLE, THAT WAS TO SHOW YOU 32 CHANNELS AND iMAGE SELECTION )  you should have a enable slider on the far right next to it.  I wonder if Mini does  not have it.

The reason the Mini wont work now is there is to much encryption data and the Mini cannot handle it.  ( It could on older versions but not the latest )  borrow or buy a full size I pad and you will be in good shape, I get beautiful video at 3 miles out, very little drop out .  
The Go App takes a lot of Processing power , trust me I have seen this before.  
Make sure you are in auto channel mode as well

You could also do the 32 channel update to help  as well.  directions are on you tube and if you search the Magnifying glass I have the files on another thread.

It may not be on the Mini, can you get a regular I pad ?

Beg , borrow ,  etc.  You wont regret if you buy one

Transmission slide is only on " custom channel select " , fire up your system to double check that .   ( I just tested mine, that setting only works in custom mode )

See if you can enable the "Hardware Decode "  that is the most important

I have the I pad Air  (9.7 inch ? )  and I love it, I also Have the I pad Pro ( Large size 12.7  ) it is a bit to big for my liking.  

tried switching to custom but shifts back

Try to fly again with that enabled and see if it helps

Buy or borrow the I pad Air and you will be amazed, then add the 32 channels for even better reception .  depends where you live, if in the country the 32 channel wont help much , in congested wi fi it is a must.
Make sure only Go App is running and NO OTHER APPS , THIS WILL GIVE THE BEST VIDEO  , this goes for all devices.

You dont have the Aircraft on my friend................. Must have all three on   RC, AC ,  go app.........flight ready for that to pop up

You would have to look up the model number via your General Settings > About section and you should be able to Google that for the Mini version.

I have the ipad mini 1st gen which is on the approved list so it should work fine with the Inspire

I am using the iPad Mini 4 Donnie and have had no issues whatsoever. I really like the Mini format. I have tried my regular iPad and it is just to large.

All I can tell you is that I pad Minis (Mostly versions 1 and 2 ) can not handle the  latest encryption data .  It could also depend on the machine and How many apps are running in the backround, if there is enough storage available  etc.

That  is why it worked in the past and not now.

Also I am glad other members have no problems with their I pad Minis, maybe they could make suggestions as to what could Improve the signal quality Of yours.

*** Just because it is on the List of approved devices  does not mean you will get the best performence.

  There are also other variables as well, Processor , amount of storage available, Apps in background running  etc.

I am glad that your I pad  ( Mini )  is working well.

It wont be a problem for all just some,  ( Many variables ) You also have the Video "Upgrade " that  I am sure is improving  your video Image.  

The X5 from what I have heard is barley functional with the I pad Mini versions 1 and 2.

I just ordered the iPad mini 4 from Best Buy... should have it today. I personally like the smaller screen size for travel.... and I hope the newest version has plenty of power to run the App and then some.

PS, I have been running the 32 channel hack for 10 months or more. I mostly leave in Auto mode (which does not use all 32 channels) but this could help some..... but  Auto mode means you are only using the primary 8 channels.

Have iOS reset it self. No telling what is loaded per device since I do not own it. All I was saying is that mine has no issues.
