Hi !   i upgraded the firmware on both inspire 1 with x3 and inspire x5raw - and had great problems with both copters !!!  we shot for a car company and i flew with around 50km/h right side to the car. when the forest came close , i tried to stop the copter , but no reaction - it flew directly into the forest...
after this we changed to the x5raw  - there problems with satellite receiver - sometime only4 0 seconds later 17 satellites...   in gps mode he always flew up or down - fast and slow - one time - he came down by himself and lifted the landing gear..... crash on the camera.....  what a shit !

Thanks for your response. Since there are a lot of data files,  you can also sync your flight record then leave me your DJI account and tell me which is the record of this issue. It will be more efficient to find out the  corresponding DAT file.

Sorry for your crash, info.I'd suggest you to get in touch with our EU office and send both of your drones to our service center for diagnosis. As for the X5R issue, could you please sync your flight record via DJI GO app and leave me your DJI account here? What's more, we also need the last 5 DAT files from the drone. The downloading method could be found in this thread. If it is convenient , it is recommended to upload them to dropbox and post a public link here. We will look into it.

I think all this .Dat files represents a faulty flight
Every flight I did that day had errors in it I think.

Oh No!

Did you say it came down by itself with the landing gear lifted and crashed on the X5R camera? Wow! So shocking!

Oh My God!

You lost an Inspire 1 X3 then an Inspire 1 X5R! I can feel your frustration.

Can you still power them on for obtaining the DAT flight records from both aircrafts?

Calibrate the IMU and the Camera Gimbal, also do a compass calibration.

Major gimbal issues today on latest fw - X5R. When starting up the gimbal rotates very fast and bumps around violently. When done and "aligned" it's pointing 45 degrees to the side! But the radar Icon on the app shows it points forward?
Can't reset it to point straight with C2 button. If I manually turn the cam to point forward, the radar icon now shows it's pointing 45 degrees to the side?! Go figure. Horizon VERY badly tilted. IMU and Gimbal calibrations did not help. My advice: DO NOT UPDATE.

yes! I upgraded my Firmware a few days ago on my inspire 1 pro and it did the same thing, it accelerated up without any command. I immediatly landed and haven't flown since out of fear of it happening again. I was pretty sure it had to do with the update because I've never had any issues before.

I just got off the phone with DJI and they told me that its not the 1.9 firmware that is the issue with the bird ascending without command. they said "its that the aircraft is acting on its own due to being taken outside from inside with out given proper time to adjust to the climate conditions" They recomended to start up the aircraft and let it idle for 5-10 minutes! followed by a imu calibration. They said to not down grade to the previous firmware and were persistent that there was nothing wrong with the current firmware.

I always do the recommended pre flight calibration and let the bird warm up for a few minutes before take off. I have never had this issue before!! I am not the only one!! I guess my 4k drone will have to sit on a shelve until DJI decides to fix the issue. They sure have a way with leaving you in the dark. At least its not a eye sore on the shelve.

I have now done tree test flights with the reinstalled FW 1.9.1.10 - all flights with no iss ...

I'am sorry to see your drones crash, it really sucks to experience that. One thing I've learned over the past year with DJI — is to never jump into an update before checking early adapters reaction. Especially when it comes to my more expensive Inspire 1. Also do a thorough flight test without the gimbal+cam after the updates like I do. In my experience most bugs and indecent behaviors are detected that way. I hope DJI will compensate you for your lost equipment — and the job you probably lost.

Let's all pray to the drone gods for a fair fortune and a spotless firmware.

I'm with you Not gonna load the new FW in my inspire 1 and 2 P3 pros.
Say required FW update ..well I did one of those last month on all aircraft updating all to 1.08 with no issues what so ever.

Last thing we all need is more buggy FW every 3 weeks.I load FW more than I get to fly DJI !!!

I have an issue updating battery;s. I have one battery under status on GO that states all normal. I have another battery that will not update. I have not uploaded firmware again, I just get solid green light, and after power cycle with AC and DJI still running I get Batt firmware needs to be upgraded refer to flight academy.  It shows aircraft 1.7.9. For some reason under my hidden files still shows OSMO 550 and that's it. My other battery all is good under about under all current firmware specs.  I'll be sure to calibrate IMU and gimbal before ops. Anybody do a no prop test to see what happens?

Thank you for your update.
Want your story in writing from DJI before I even belive a word of it - make no sense at all.
Have to say that this was a very strange story - need to ask DDJ why this is happening with Fw 1.9 and not happen with FW 1.8 -
I have 800 flights with my Inspire without any issues and suddenly it should start acting by itself because it is brought from inside to outside.

Also a bit strange that they recommend doing a IMU cal after the AC has been turned on for 5 min - when the general rule is that the AC should be shot off for at least 5 min prior to IMU Calibration.

I know you are the messenger so I do not argue against you - but find this very strange.
Lets wait for the verdict when DJI have seen all the flight logs

As for the pre FW flight, FLY594.DAT is too small and we need 1 or 2 bigger data files (size larger than 50MB is better) to do further analysis.
