All of a sudden both my battery's are fastly degrading on their printed battery life on healthy drones, why is this? I tested both today in my yard flying very low. the dji app says my voltage is good, my cells are normal. and the flight time was relitivly normal. i never leave them fully charged over night, i basically baby my battery's.
the battery with 97% left only has 18 cycles on it and the other one has 45 cycles on it. should i not fly them anymore?

Good question. Loo0k at the battery page in the DJI Go App and see if it agrees in terms of battery life. In any event, battery life is a calculated factor and may have no bearing on whether the battery is OK or not.

Should you fly with them? Absolutely, no reason not to. But you can probably get all the life back in them by performing a couple of cycles of discharge. Next time you fly, leave the batteries out and when you get home, put them back in the aircraft, take the props off and start the motors to draw the batteries down . When they get to about 8% as displayed on the screen, shut down , remove the battery and put it on charge. Repeat this procedure one more time and the battery should be back to near 100%.

Have you "calibrated" the batteries lately?  In most cases, that will restore the life to them, unless they are just plain worn out, which yours shouldn't be.

Hello cneedforspeed,if it is convenient, you can post the DJI GO's battery status screenshots here when it is fully charged.

I have this same problem with about the same usage.  Around 18-19 charges and a battery that will max out full charge at 97%

Does the discharge and re-charge really work?

How do you "calibrate" the battery?

this "life" value is only available in Android now. They removed it from the iOS version a few revs ago.

To calibrate, fully charge the battery then discharge to 3.35v per cell then fully recharge again.

First off, use the DJI GO app to monitor battery health.
I calibrate the batteries every 10 charges and one of my batteries has 50 something charges and still showed 97%.
I also broke them in and for the first 10 charges I flew mellow and only too the batteries down to 50%.
Try doing a calibration and then post a screenshot of the battery charge.
To calibrate, start with a full battery, fly it until it's low enough that your comfortable with while hovering close to the ground in front of you and lane with 10% or under. Then leave it on until it shuts off by itself, then let it cool down for 30 minutes or so. Then fully charge and that's it.

im just confused to why it keeps degrading like 2 or 3 percent everytime i charge it, i also finished calabrating it. and again it went donwn from 87 to 84% life. and my other battery with only 18 charges on it is doing the same.

Some 3rd-party tools may not detect the battery status correctly. If your battery are in bad status, you can directly judge it by the cell deviations in DJI Go app.
