Hello... my P3S loosing signal within 40-m after 1.6.8 firmware upgrading.. I wonder what will happen If I use DBS mode or ARGtek in this situation.. if you have tried it.. please tell me the result.. Can we get at least 500m range??

Won't help, it's a firmware problem.
With DBS, I got 60m instead of 40m-50m.

I have rc signal issue too after last firmware upgrade.
I have tried everything i have found on the net...nothing happen.
I have decided to send back my p3s to dji repair service and after 2 weeks i receive a new  working p3s

I downgraded my firmware to 1.5.7 and it fixed everything. I might add that this doesn't seem to work for everyone but I don't know why.

bought P3S a month ago and update to 1.6.80 straight out of the box without knowing anything and had a problem with the range and awful video feed in around 20 to 30 meters.

try to downgrade (1.5.70+) and able to fly around 100 to 150 meters.

bought ARGTek 7dBi and manage to fly around 275 to 300 meters. (1.5.70+)

i'm using DJI GO on both iOS and Android. also try to use DJI Geo Beta app. result are the same.

today i update the firmware back to 1.6.80 from 1.5.70+, the update was success. but the whole process only take me less than 5 minutes. seems suspicious.

will try to fly the bird again tomorrow and i will give an update.

hope DJI will fix the problem soon.

would love to see what this thing can do when the firmware works properly.

I can get about 200-500m stock, really seems to depend on the day. I haven't noticed any difference from 1.5.7-1.6.8 though....

recently got back from test flight w/ 1.6.80 firmware + ARGTek 7 dBi + 2.8.3 DJI GO on iOS and also 2.8.1 on Android and 2.8.0 also on Android.

result - back to 20 to 30 meters lost signal.

guess there is no other option for me than to stay on 1.5.70+ until DJI release new firmware for P3S.

That's disappointing to hear only get 275-300m after downgrade to 1.5.70. Where's the claim 1000m?

Still far from 1000m claimed, right? I am quite disappointed with DJI after seeing so many 1.6.80 problem since May.

My actual firmware is 1.6.8 (last one) and i reached, with full rc signal, 346 meters at 55 meters of altitude.
I repeat: FULL RC SIGNAL I decided to turn back my p3s

They said that my actual p3s is a new one. However it doesn't matter, dji install last firmware
As i said, in my opinion there are two possibilities:
1) Upgrade procedure, for some reason, is not working
2) Lastest firmware drive crazy p3s or rc hardware

You bought the Phantom 3 Standard directly on the website of DJI?
How you have made managing to send the P3S DJI repair service? Have you had to pay for all this or DJI has taken over the costs?

Hi Romero,
yes i bought my p3s directly on the dji website.
I wrote to the dji support and they send me a rma doc to fill; they create and send me a ups Shipment Label and i send my p3s back with it.
They tested my old p3s and said that it will be replaced for free and then send me back a new one.
All for free.

Try flashing back an old firmware, it should solve the issue

I have tried and it didn't work for me
