As you guys know, I was so desperate after 1.6.8 firmware upgrade and I was loosing RC signal within 40m-60m .. But After 1.5 months finally solved it permanently.. Here we go!!!  
In my method, Basically you need to put 1.6.80 firmware to your RC and also you need to put 1.5.70+ to aircraft. so How do we do that?>???

1. You need upgrade your drone using LATEST DJI go app.  ( if you are already in 1.6.8, then downgrade it in to 1.5.7 )
2. After upgrading to 1.6.8 please close DJI go app, restart the drone and RC connect it, after that Switch off all the      things.
3. Then download and put 1.5.7 firmware bin file to a SD card.
4. Put the SD card in to the aircraft WITHOUT turning it on.
5. Then turn on the aircraft WHILE PRESSING RC LINK BUTTON ON THE AIRCRAFT LEFT SIDE BODY.
6. Hold it on for like 20 seconds and release it.
7. Then complete firmware upgrading process will start and it will be over within 10-15min as usual..
8.Then restart the drone.
9.After all these steps your RC will be stay in 1.6.8 and your aircraft will be 1.5.7+ and DO NOT UPGRADE AGAIN, unless you want the problem again.. LoL...

Have a flight and PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT THE RANGE YOU GOT!!!!!

mmmm, well i have tried like 104004040 different things and still got same result,  i will try this one is something new( i hope this really fix it) lol will let you know tomorrow

I was exactly like you bro.. tried everything and finally found this.. Give it a try..   and for the record I was loosing RC signal NOT the video signal..

Hi, I have exactly the same problem... video link is ok but I lose RC signal very quickly, sometimes at 20m, sometimes 120m.. I could go 350m before - no probem (same area). I tried your solution, but it didn't help me Is DJI aware of this probem and will they fix it in future firmware, or is the only solution to send it to DJI for service?

Hey imdilanvlogs, gald you get improvement. What's your range now? I still think that the major problem is not the SW version per se but the fact the updates easily can go vexed and require re-linking. As my typical max range is 50% against of my friends' identical unit, I feel itch to send it to DJI in CA to make my mediocre unit a good one.

hello, i just tried that. no luck at all , still have signal lost at 35m , seems we are limited to 35-40m now.... lol

Well, I got my P3S back from DJI Netherlands rapair center yesterday and tried a testflight today, but the problem remains the same... maybe a little worse... Tried relinking RC, but it's the same... I am so disappointed right now.

DJI-Ken - is there anything you can offer on this issue in terms of DJI's awareness of the P3S RC Lost reports and any work that may be going on to resolve the issue?

What is the link to down load fw updates?

So today I tried again to down grade FW again and now I can't link the drone and the controller. I tried the manual link but the link light on the drone is not flashing and still won't link. Is there anyway to clear all firmware from the drone and re-install? Or if anyone has any other suggestions to get me past this.
