Though the RC has a relatively big capacity of 6000mA, it's not designed to be a battery pack. Not sure how much the output of the RC currently is, I'm certain it's not higher than 500mA, so it needs to be boosted to 2A to effectively charge a tablet or phone, which means more R&D to test if will interfere the signal, etc.
Also, while you might find this feature attractive, some people might prefer to keep the rate of the RC losing power to a minimal level. Also it's complicated if you want to build these two working modes together into the RC.
