In general the warranty is 12 months, camera warranty 6 months.
If you buy from other than DJI, make sure it's an authorized dealer.

Correct, the Phantom camera has a 6 month warranty where as the Inspire is a 12 month warranty.
The Inspire camera/gimbal has more technology built into it and they offer it with 12 months.

I have bought from DJI on line and never a problem. I have bought from B&H Photo and never an issue. I would buy from an authorized dealer that specialises in the DJI products. If you are a pro photographer you would be better off with the P4 or a P3P V2.

First off sorry for the Interuption , this has nothing to do with Purchasing .
Thanks for the support, I tried to send you a PM but would not work for some reason, the sooner the other thread dies the better, ( That is why  post here )  You just cant win sometimes.  time to take a break for a while anyway .  Apparently I am answering to many questions supporting "DJI " positions.  It is just funny because my machine works for the most part perfect and I just try to explain what I do , that Somehow makes you a "Sell Out " or something .   I take things to personal anyway and need to just let things go .

Thanks again Rich ,

donnie

I did and didn't notice anything different, but again I don't know if I was flying the exact same time they were powered up.

Donnie, you have helped many and provided clear information based on facts. Do not let a few bad apples get you down. I received my iPad mini 4 and could not really see any performance difference between the mini 2. The main reason I got it was of adding the cellular service,  GPS and barometer. Now AutoFlight can use the iPad for more accuracy

New Avatar again   I like it

PS, I downgraded my FW to 1.8 until DJI comes out with a fix. I did not have any issues but do not want to take a chance while fly over and near the river.

Back to the subject.........
Buying online is completley safe if you do it right..

I use eBay frequently and it is entirely safe. They have a buyer protection plan that insures this. If you buy something and it is not as described, or even if it never arrives, you get 100% of your money back. This includes buying an item from a seller that states in their listing that they do not accept returns.

I bought a 'slightly used' TB47 from a guy that said it had only been charged once. When I got it there was 7 charges showing in the DJI GO app. I emailed the seller and got no response whatever. I opened a case with eBay and 10 days later I got a full refund. After opening the case, the seller finally responded and said that he made a mistake and sent the wrong one. He tried to talk me into paying the return shipping which I did not.
Another time, I bought an Inspire 1 which was listed at a rediculously low price. ($699.00) I was pretty sure it was either a mistake or a scam. After reading the Buyer protection plan thoroughly, I pulled the trigger and I paid through Paypal. The next morning, waiting in my inbox was an email from eBay stating that the listing had been pulled and the seller was no longer registered on eBay. I opened a case immeadiatley, and 10 days later I got my money back.

My current Bird, an Inspire Pro was bought on eBay from an official DJI dealer in San Jose CA. (Helicopter World.) This was a new one with full warranty intact. The reason I went through eBay was the buyer protection plan. Not that I did not trust the dealer, but if the package was lost or damaged, eBay is far easier to deal with than filing a damage claim with UPS or the Post office. I have dealt with both in the past on damaged packages and they are terrible. They always tried to pro-rate the value and stalled the claim process.

Amazon is safe also. I bought a camera case and on receiving it, I realized it wasn't large enough. The seller emailed a prepaid return label and even issued refund as soon as the tracking number was activated, 2 days before he recieved the returned item.

There are big savings to be had online. one just has to be careful.
