Could you not just use course lock or something to get the same effect? Or use waypoints?

Hello dancarver44, yes when the drone is returning to home, you cannot rotate it. But as Liam says in #2, you can use Course-Lock or Home-Lock to get some familiar effect.

It's really not a big deal, if you plan your shots and what you want to achieve it makes no difference ,

I understand you might miss a luck of the moment shot when returning to home but my guess would be that these are few and far between anyway

You can switch it to S mode or A mode to exit it.
