Hey guys, today I was asked to find a cow with my drone, but when I tried to connect my drone it doesnt work.
I turned on rc and drone, but my smartphone did'nt connected and it showed that my drone is DISCONECTED,
but motors can turn on.
Can someone know what is the problem of  my drone?

If everything worked good before then it has to be a setting on your phone. Or if it worked then you preformed a firmware update then it may be your device does not have the processing power to make the app fully work.
Or it may just be a damaged USB cable or USB port (depending on what Phantom you have.

What aircraft do you have and what device are you using?

What firmware are you on?
When you power up the RC do you get the charge indicator?
If not then it may be your USB cable or port.
If you do get the charge indicator, then swipe down from the top and you may see "USB for Charging".
Change that to MIDI and you should be able to connect.
If you update to the latest Android and DJI 1.9 firmware then you should be able to connect automatically.

I have a latest android and dji app 2.8 and drone firmware  1.9
and what do you mean ,,charge indicator'' it have to show on telephone battery or on rc ?(when I power on rc my phone open dji app)

It may be your USB cable is bad.

I have the same problem and spent 1.5 hours on the phone with DJI service.  I have a Phantom 3 Professional and use an iPhone 6s.  I asked the service rep if the phone should be charging from the remote when connected and he said no it should not.  This problem started after i updated firmware to 1.09.06.  Now there is no "open camera" button on iPhone when connected to RC.  It's definitely not the USB cable cuz I tried several.  The aircraft connects to the RC cuz i can control the gimbal with the RC.  It's either a bad USB port on the RC or an error in the firmware.  I don't understand how the port could be bad from sitting unused through the winter. Any ideas?

The RC does not charge your phone but it will act like it is and the battery icon will turn green and you'll see the lightning bolt.
If you are not, then the phone is not connecting to the RC.
Do you get the Trust message?

No,  there seems to be no connection from phone to USB.  No charge indicator,  no trust message nothing.  I have also tried resetting the RC many times,  tried putting the firmware on the SD card in a USB reader directly into the RC USB port and nothing.  Since I first updated the RC,  there has been no connection to anything on USB.  Actually it acted like it updated with the Blue light and all but I have no idea what firmware is actually on the RC because there is no access.  After scanning the forum,  I see a lot of people have had the same issue.

If you are updating from 1.8 to 1.9 then there is no updating the RC through the USB port.
The only time you use the USB port for updating the RC is if you have firmware that's more than a year old and prior to 1.3.
After you have 1.3 then ALL RC updates are via the app.
What firmware did you attempt to install on the RC?

I had firmware 1.3 and everything worked well.  I haven't flown the drone all winter so last week I charged all the batteries,  watched about 10 videos on how to update the firmware and then downloaded 1.09.06 to my 64gb sd card,  loaded it onto the drone.  it seemed to all work on the drone and read the text file as success.  I then hooked the DJI micro USB cable to the drone and the other end to the USB port on the RC.  Turned them on in the order required and it looked like the RC was downloading the firmware correctly.  V 1.09.06.  Feeling confident that I did it correctly,  I turned on the RC,  hooked my IPhone 6s to the RC, open the APP and then turned on the Drone.  All I see then is "How to connect" but no Camera Button on the iPhone.  The RC can control the gamble,  I can even record a video or a photo through the camera by pushing the appropriate RC buttons but nothing shows on the APP.  I took the sd card out and looked at the video and photos on the computer.  So it seems there is a connection between RC and camera but thats all.  I cannot turn on the motors or connect the APP at all now. BTW,  is the micro USB port on the RC tied in parallel to the larger USB?  Maybe I could try that one if it is.

Last RC update was a while ago and it was in the 1.8 aircraft firmware update. The RC went from 1.5.7 to 1.6.

The Micro USB port on the RC is not used by the customer, only the standard USB is used.
Since you had 1.3, the app should have told you the aircraft requires an update and also the RC requires an update. for the RC update, it says go to home page to download firmware for the RC.

I've been flying a P3Pro for over a year.  I've had the "disconnected" problem several times.  It can be caused by any of the following:
1) bad USB cable; try a genuine Apple USB-lightning cable (if connecting to an iPhone or iPad)
2) bad USB port on the remote controller. IF this is truly the problem, it can be "fixed" by replacing the USB module with a new HDMI-USB module (approx. $90).
3) You have only updated the firmware of the P3 aircraft or the Remote controller and still need to update the other one.
4) Sometimes, especially after a firmware update or an update of the DJI GO app (which can occur without you doing anything on an Apple device if you have auto updates turned ON), the remote controller and the Phantom "lose' each other.  Don't know how else to explain it. The FIX for this - and this just happened to me two weeks ago - is to power cycle the P3 aircraft, the remote controller and the DJI GO app once or twice and everything starts working again.

Try restating your phone. Turn on aircraft, then remote wait about five seconds then connect phone and start the DJI app. Mine does this, I think it has something to do with Android 6 marshmallow. It does not release the USB port on the phone unless the phone is restarted and or all the apps are killed manually in the app manager.
Do you have more than one app that uses the USB port?

what I've done to make it work:
*Uinstall DJI go app
*turn off/on my smartphone
*installed DJI go app

It was not my drone or RC that didnt work but my phone.
I recently updated to android 6.
(I dont know how long it will work)

If you are seeing the "how to connect" message, try leaving everything on for about half an aircraft battery of power, then turn everything off for 1-2 minutes, then power them all back up in the sequence tablet/phone then remote then aircraft.

This worked for me in the update before the current one.
