Recently pulled one of my phantom 3 advanced from service, and I really LOVE LOVE LOVE the quality the phantom 3 gimbal and camera system. So I decided that I should integrate the gimbal into one of my rc airplanes! If interested check out the link! The flight video will be uploaded in a couple days!

Remember the gimbal is supposed to only have 2 locking pins in it - you've got one in each of the 4 corners.  ;)

Great idea. Are you using the Phantom controller for operating the aircraft flight control surfaces? If so how have you done it?

Very interesting... what radio are you using on the airplane? I am assuming you are using the DJI remote but how are you controlling the plane? receiver setup? just wondering how you are blending everything together

Hey Rich, I am using a spektrum dx6i to control the airplane, will still be using the p3a controller to bridge the connection, I will be using VR goggles paired with my smart phone to manipulate the camera, all I will have to do is look down towards the ground with vr goggles and the camera gimbal will follow suit.

Sounds very cool my friend!  Make sure you take some video of the setup showing us what this is all about.... plus the goggle view would be awesome.

Thanks appreciate the support! I will deff do that, charging the go pro's and digital cameras as we speak. Tomorrow will be a beautiful day here in Minnesota, will probably have some video cut Tues!

I was thinking the same too, using DJI Phantom 3 lightbridge gimbal on Plane. But i think the latency is not good enough for Fixed Wing used. There's so much lag... But the Live HD feed is very interesting. I'm waiting for ur next videos. keep posting man...

Thank you! Should be uploading the footage from the flight within the next couple days.. But I did something amazing with a P3S over the weekend. Video to come tonight on my YTube Channel!
