Tried to caputre this beautiful sunset the other day with my Phantom. Its 9 exposures total, stiched to 3 HDR's and then merged into this final panorama image. Im pretty happy with the result, the HDR technique really brings out alot more details and color, perfect for the aerial perspective.

The camera is wide angle, so when you took 9 photos for stitching, the images must have overlapped a lot...correct?

I overlapped about 1/3 for each frame. I found activating the grid in the app useful for this (also use grid for shooting video).
