if phantom only lets you go up to 400 feet, how did you get to top of 980 foot masts?  Pardon my ignorance.  just very curious.

Actually 2 guys used it for basejumping in 2001 and were arrested afterwards. One of them was fined a 1000$. Well worth it if you ask me. The tricky thing when jumping or droning on this object are the guiding lines and the powerful radiowaves emitted by the transmitter. So for health reasons it´s much better to fly around them than to climb

I wonder how far (distance) they went ?   I guess you could figure that easily from the glide ratio for the average wingsuit.

Yes, the guidelines.   Were you able to see them at all times?  I can see my Phantom for about 1200 feet so I assume you saw it the entire time and could see the guide lines?

I have went to 600 feet with my P4, and cn go higher then that, u are able to adjust ur ceiling height in the app, youtube search phantom 4 max height reach, I guy in Turkey goes 3800 meters(12 000 feet) up, the video is crazy, I would never go that high, I was nervous for my P4 at 600 feet

There are lines at every 150 ft anchored in 3 directions. Either you fly over them or in one of the "sectors" between but its very tricky

The maximum altitude for the Phantom is 500 Metres, which is 1640 feet, not 400 ft.

SO why two towers ?

Man they are high, crazy to see the solid structure at the top as well, the round tower must catch the wind massively compared to the rest,  also i see the antennas are below the red and white tower, so whats its purpose other than visual warning ?

I think they separated the radiobands and the load on two towers. Actually they are planning on building a THIRD mast.
The 100ft top tube is only for climbing up and change the red bulbs and to have afternoon tea of course

Very tasty and it's nice to know that getting that close to the mast didn't affect the quady at all.

Yes But on another similar mast I flew lower and close to the transmitters and the bird nearly got cooked
