Night photos seem to always turn out great, but video is always washed out and look grayish.  I've seen very nicely done videos from night flying and I was wondering what type of settings do I need to use to get video that's not trash can material.  P3 Pro

Filters my friend filters you can get a set for 10 bucks all the way up to a hundred different darkness is polarization and what not it'll reduce the glare

Do you have links for the night videos? I don't know how they would do it except increasing ISO and perhaps decreasing the shutter speed. More than likely, they also use denoising software like Neat Video to compensate for the increase in noise due to the increase in ISO. I don't think you can go much over 800 ISO before the picture really starts breaking down.

Good idea, when there is not enough light to shoot good pictures, put on a filter and make it even worse.

The Phantom cameras are not low light cameras, they need to be fed plenty of light to get good pictures, otherwise the camera will increase the video gain and produce very noisy images. The best strategy is to shoot where there is a wash of light from buildings or street lamps, keep the aircraft moves simple and slow, in fact quite still if you can. Set up the camera for manual exposure and use the right hand scroll wheel to control the exposure.

The point was the right filter like a polarized lens not darker but it gives beter contrast. I used one for the fireworks. Like you know night driving glasses

I tried the polarized lens , including last night. I'll upload a video sometime today to show my issue.  The one common thing I've seen from good night videos was they was done around City's .   My night photos look amazing , I would just like to find a way to get a better result for video

Sorry for the multi replies. For some reason it was not posting then they all came through 5-8 hours later

I bet you could fix that in post. A good video processing software. These amazing videos you see on youtube do not come straight from the sd card. They are run through filters and processed to look like that. Record in LOG and use software. But do not use LOG unless you are using software. It introduces a lot of variables you do not want. Google it.
