It's not an app issue, I think it's your device can not keep up with the processing power required ...

In that case is there anyway I can downgrade the app, as I have only just bought the new tablet and I really don't want to go back to using my iPad

You would have to search the internet for an earlier version and install it.
I don't know how it's done so I cannot give any advise.

Here's a note about GEO:

Your online GEO map and the one in the Android app don't match.
Online map shows me as a couple km from the edge of an extended area (still don't understand the significance of the extended area) and the app show's me as smack dab in the middle of the extended area.

Ken, thanks for the suggestion. I changed all the settings to "Show Warning Zones and Prompts" 4 days ago, but this still does not show the zones in map view on my Android tablet (Nexus 9). I've waited a few days to reply to see if this was updated. Still no change. In fact the Android GO App map view shows no red zones over major airports in our region, as well as no Enhanced Warning zones which are everywhere here if I look at your Online Flight Planner. Is this a local issue (I'm living south of Paris, France) or an Android thing (I'm running the most recent versions)?

You have to have the aircraft powered on and it only shows the zones in a small radius of the aircraft position. maybe somewhere in the 5-10 mile range.

Sorry about discussing this over two different posts. But yes, the aircraft was powered ON when I checked this (even did a test flight). I know that I am inside an Enhanced Warning zone (several are overlapping here on your Flight Planner), but nothing shows on the GO App map. As for the 5 to 10 mile radius, I am exactly 3.1 miles (5 km) from a local airport (which is shown with Red Restricted zone surrounded by a Yellow Authorization zone on your Flight Planner). No indication of this appears in the GO App.

I see, can you drive a bit closer and power up the air craft to see if the NFZ comes up. I'm wondering if outside of the US if the map radius is smaller.

Ken, I have come much closer to the airport as the screen shots reveal. Toussus le Noble field length is 1.1 km. Still no warning messages. I did a fake 1 minute flight (motors but no props) without warnings. (Sorry about slow reply but I was in Normandy for a wedding). Hope this helps.

Thanks Ken. I don't understand your copy of the GEO web page; mine this morning still shows the zones (see below). I have switched on the satellite info and added a red cross to show where the Phantom was "flying". Incidentally, it looks like they centered the red zone on the control tower and not on the airfield.

Ken, any chance that this problem is related to the Android GO App version 2.8.2; since I've seen that the GEO warnings work for those using the Apple version 2.8.4?

Sorry wish I could help, but all my gear is Android or PC. You'll need some input from someone in this region with IOS.

Ken, I just updated to the new Android GO App version 2.8.3. As the screenshot below shows, the GEO system warning now appears when the aircraft is connected. The problem seems to be solved.

Hi all.
I guess I just want a better understand.

I see I am in overlapping Green Zones and in the middle yellows.

Authorization is just accepting on the app and understanding you don't fly in the yellow? or does it apply to green also?

I have had this thing for a long time and just don't fly as much lately.

does the flysafe website tell me all areas I can't fly? I only show these two green circles and I can't scroll elsewhere and see any others.

Here is the online map of the zones.
to save space on the map, it only works in a certain raduis. If you scroll to another city or state it will not whow you the zones.http://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-system/map
