At the bottom of the article a spokeswoman for the UK's Department of Transport said, "We will be  consulting on proposals, including registration and licensing options,  before a government strategy is published later this year."

Place your bets as to what licensing and registration options they go for - a copy of the USA system perhaps?

Didn't I read here on this forum that dronepilots would have nothing to fear anymore once the ugly rule-maling EU was out of the picture after the Brexit ?
Fact: very strict drone rules proposed by the Belgian government where REFUSED by the EU and Belgium was ordered to make them more flexible and tolerant...
