I am not able to upgrade my Inspire 1 Pro at all. Noting happens when I inserte the card in the camera. I have downloade v1.9.1.30, but the file name is WM610_FC550_FW_V01.09.01.30.bin after unzipping. For me that file looks like the version for Inspire 1 RAW.

version 1.9.1.30 seems to work fine. Might be my imagination but braking in P-mode is more subtle.

Looking to do the update this weekend, any hidden changes or tweaks made? we all know DJI likes to sneak things in on these updates. Why do the batteries have to get updated if this is only for VPS?

Have now had a couple of sessions with the updated firmware.  So far so good - responding beautifully on 6 batteries.

I just updated my Inspire 1 to the newest firmware, but something weird happened. I was upgrading, and the A/C started the long continuous beep like it had failed. I checked the txt file and it showed failed. I formatted the card, tried the update again and nothing happened. I restarted it, (nothing again) and turned on the R/C and the app, checked the versions, and it shows that it updated to 1.9.1.30 for the A/C.  

I restarted it again and now it shows A/C version "Unknown"

I'm beginning to dislike updates...

Please try to format the card and use the latest 1.9.13 firmware to try again. Then you can post the LOG file here by following the steps in #60.

I have a couple of questions, Newbie updating three Inspire 1 V2's out of the box
One is updated to  A/C 1.9 Camera 1.8 Is this the latest, some commenters say yes, one said both were at 1.9, got the camera updated by running firmware 2nd time after formatting card in camera
2nd is A/C 1.9 camera still at 1.4, doesn't recognise new firmware, using same card as above, does the camera care where the card is formated, I could swap camera with no.1 perhaps?
3rd A/C and camera still at 1.4 i guess, I've linked the rc and can do some things but not exit travel mode or see firmware versions or the card to format it,
All rc's updated to 1.6, saw somewhere the A/C should have been updated first, have legs supported so camera can fit below
The first two offerred registration online, the third hasn't

1.For X3 camera, the latest is 1.8 fw in the app. X5 series fw version is 1.9 fw in the app.
2.Try to format the card and extract the latest bin file to the card. Then try again. After the update, check the update result in the card.
3.See the notification in the firmware release note below:
If your RC has been updated to the 1.6.0 and now it is unable to exit the transportation mode, please press and hold this button on the homepage for 10s and use the DJI Go app to downgrade the RC to 1.5.8 at first. Then update the drone again.

About says the RC firmware is 1.5.8, but still can't connect to the inspire, can't connect in any fashion now

Actually the aqua （cyan）color is related to an unsuccessful RC upgrade/downgrade process. You can follow this steps to redo the upgrade then downgrade again. Or you can link your 1.4 drone and a 1.5.8 RC to exit the transportation mode at first.
How to force RC to update
* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, record and the wheel on the right side of the controller and then turn off the controller.
* Don’t let go of any fingers, and turn on the controller. Then the controller will be able to update again with the app.

All upgraded and registered ok now, thanks for the info on downgrading and forcing the RC.

I was having problems with having the camera attached while in travel mode, once I removed the camera I could exit travel mode, then reattached the camera and the upgrade commenced.

I'd suggest you to redo the upgrade with the latest firmware and try again.Does the same issue come up when your camera is attached to other drones?

Am I reading this wrong, some people are saying this firmware includes a battery update, some say not. My spare batteries do not update, even though I have the latest firmware on the aircraft.
Can anyone from DJI tell me definitively if there was a battery update in the latest firmware?

There is no download packet for the batteries themselves.

That information unfortunately is not separate from the aircraft's firmware. There has not been a specific download pack for the batteries in months. Unless you were on very old firmware prior to updating to the most current, you will most likely not be prompted to update extra batteries.

I upgraded the RC firmware (v1.7.40) on my Master RC at the weekend and then went to connect with my Slave RC - No JOY. I finally managed to get my SLAVE RC to connect back up again only by Disconnecting the link between MASTER RC and Inspire - syncing my SLAVE RC as the MASTER to the Inspire - then updating the firmware on the SLAVE RC (now my new MASTER) then Disconnecting the updated SLAVE Master from the Inspire and then re syncing my original MASTER RC back to the Inspire and then my original now updated (v1.7.40) SLAVE back as a SLAVE. Now all works fine. However what i find now that with the updated DJI GO App version 3.0.0 - the video link to my inspire is terrible - where as i could fly over 2km out without signal loss i now have issues with weak transmission signal and frequent cut outs even at 5-10m!! So far i have resisted to upgrade the bird and the camera to the latest 1.9.0.00 versions and kept them on version 1.8.1.00+ and 1.8.1.40 respectively. Anyone have any other recommendations or ideas so i can get back to my perfect video signal transmission?
Well after reading through the above posts i took the plunge and have updated straight from v 1.8.1.00+ to v1.9.1.30 for my inspire and camera. I have also updated my batteries. Both my updated Master and Slave RCs connected up no fuss and showed no issues along with my updated DJI Go v3.0.0 on my ipad air and iphone 6+. All i have to do is go out and fly and keep my fingers crossed all works fine.

Well i am back from 4 test flights and my happiness was short lived. Although the Inspire flew well i kept on getting rolling and lagging images and occasional weak signal transmission before the inevitable lost transmission signal and auto return to home action. I then swapped out my ipad (ipad air running latest mac os 10.2 with DJI Go app version 3 to my Iphone 6+ (mac os 10.2) and thought that did the trick until about 30 secs later and i started to get the same issues with weak and lost video signals again. Anyone any thoughts or advice or recommendations?

Android: 4.4.2

App: 3.0.0
Version: 1.8.1.00
Camera: 1.8.1.00
Remote Controller: 1.7.40

Error :
1. The latest firmware (v1.9) should not update.(I know how to update).

2. The remote controller should not downgrade from the current app(v3.0.0).
because of graduating hat is not enabled(press it for 5-10 seconds then let go...), remote controller, you can not downgrade.
-. summary : press the graduation hat (upper right corner), press it for 5-10 seconds then let go...)

You can only go back one previous firmware in order . This is located at the DJI downloads page for the Inspire.  so the latest is 1.11 can only go back to 1.10 .
Here is a link, then if you wish to get to the older FW ( 1.10 ) go to the Product Select Box  ( this is critical you do so ) and pick out your camera system( X3 -X5 etc )  and then it will bring up the previous firware .

Ok, I am  looking , what version do you have on it Right Now On the Aircraft ?

Are you trying to get back to 1.8.20  or what ?


You can rollback one version of firmware if you can find it .  If you cant find it then do this .  Post a New thread and Many members Like myelf keep old files that they can send you via dropbox or something like that .

Just make a new thread and be specific that you want version 1. ? of RAW and a member will more than likely get back to you with it .  I will look to see if I can find a site that has it .  I have other sites that keep older Inspire 1 and Inspire Pro firmware but the Raw is a litt harder to find , I will try though .
