Hey all,

For the last year or so I've always had my C2 button programmed to allow my gimbal wheel to control the X-axis (left and right Pan) upon start up it controls the Y axis (Up and down), however after updating to 1.8, in the menu for changing the C2 button the only obvious option is switch gimbal mode, when I do so, and click on the C2 it basically unlocks the gimbal allowing the craft to rotate around it in a fixed position, clicking again unlocks it and causes the gimbal to follow the craft. I cannot control X-axis I've tried every setting available and nothing works.

Is there any work around for this other than downgrading? Am I missing something?

~Thanks

Sorry, I checked mine and the option for Yaw and Pan on the C1 and C2 are still there  as an option.  Do you have both the Aircraft and RC Transmitter on ?  That would show only a couple of options and NOT the Yaw Pan for sure .

Good Luck

Yes I do, both are on, in fact, just purchased a P4 and it arrived today, same exact issue, not option for Yaw or Pan....I'm so confused!

Have you tried to uninstall the Go App and then reinstall it? Sometimes glitches happen... The P4 will only have some of these features active once you are connected to the aircraft...  I switch between my Inspire 1 and the P4 and the gimbal settings follow the aircraft for me.

Sorry you are having trouble and hope you can get this going again

PS the only other thought is to check the ribbon cables and the camera contacts....

Yes I have done that,

But as I stated it's not a lack of control, in other words, there is no option to control it anymore, in the App I used to be able to control camera Pan with the C2 button, that option is gone both in the Inspire and P4, and the settings do not change when they are on

You can find the C1  and C2 programming section correct ?  It just not showing  YOU the option to Yaw and Pan ?  Is that correct?

What are you using for the Go App device ?  I pad or what ?
For example on My I pad with 2.8.4   I just open the Remote control settings page  and the C1 and C2 battery customization in right there . ( Gimbal Pitch - Yaw )  ***PIC attached

I know you have done this before, I am just trying to start at the beginning to makd sure we are not missing something, can you power up your system and take a screen shot like mine ?

Wow that is strange for sure. I thought that reinstalling the App might bring back the missing features... and the reason for checking the cables is that the App needs feedback from the connected hardware to show the correct options available for you to use.

Certainly hope that DJI has some ideas for you to try. Please keep in mind that you cannot control the pan on the P4,  only pitch.

donnies screen shot shows the options available for the Inspire 1 and the P4 will have different options based on the hardware capability.

Sorry here is the screenshot

Matt, perhaps you can check and see if you are in slave rather than master mode ?  Also I saw on another thread that a pilot had a similar problem and reset his from 'Slave' to 'Off' and then to 'Maste' and it cleared up his similar problem.

Worth a shot - seems like each update brings along strange anomalies each time .
