Hi,

Does anyone know if 3rd party gimbals and cameras can be used with dji drones. Let's say they can be attached to the drone, I have some questions:

1. how would they be controlled, I presume through a separate controller and screen.
2. can they be easily balanced on the drone
3. The camera itself would need to be able to carry out geotagging but how accurate would that be +/- 5cm etc as I presume the gps/drtk from dji drone can't be integrated with the pictures.

There are some older ready to fly units that can use 3rd party gimbals and most flight controllers can. Do you have a specific model you are looking to use?

I cannot say for sure. Because the F2-F4 ports on the A3 are not able to be mapped for cusotmization at this time, you would not be able to program a servo gimbal to function. It would be more plausible with a Spreading Wings airframe with the A2 for now.

Now gimbal from Yangda Security can fully work with DJI Matrice 200.
