Does the USB cable that connects to your iPhone and the controller come in the box for the phantom 3 adv.?? or is that a separate purchase?...thanks for any help

Hey all,
The cable in the box is definitely NOT the lightning cable and WILL NOT plug into iOS (ipad) devices.

Sorry .. I missed the phone type.
The included cable is a standard USB/microUSB cable.
If you are using an Apple device, just use the lightning cable you use to charge that device.

The USB cable's quality affects very little about the connectivity of the RC to your tablet.  If your phone/tablet needs to plug/unplug several times to get connected with the RC, like mine before, the reason is with the device, not the cable.

Ok, thanks...I'm trying to get ready for when I finally get delivery , I'm not looking forward to the firmware download, I'm a computer idiot..should be fun

Leave the firmware until after you have flown a bit and know that everything about the bird is OK

You need to use your own lightning cable to connect the RC if you use the iOS devices.
