Only snow on the screen checked Rx 1 and Rx2 all channels 1-8, checked that I was set to NTSC both whip antennas on and also on transmitter. show power on transmitter and IOSD and checked connections, but I still have nothing but snow what am I missing. The transmitter gets hot after 10 min other post says that is normal ? checked IOSD firmware no luck, can anyone help.

Try to take out the iOSD and test that you can at least see the camera. How do you have the GoPro connected? That stock ribbon cable is very prone to breakage for the GoPro to gimbal connection. The transmitter will get hot sitting still as it needs some airflow to help cool it.

I've goz a very similar setup. I also just received static on my screen. I then removed the plug and play cable and soldered the wires myself. I got perfect picture then. In my case the plug and play cable was probably foulty.

is it the 32 channel black pearl?

as there are 4 bands, each with 8 channels, but you need to change them in the menu, not with + and -.

once turned on, press the power button once, then up and down arrows to screen, M button to choose screen, then M again to choose diversity band, then up/down to change band. Immersion RC transmitters are usually E or F (F I think, but I cant remember)

oh, and also check the PAL/NTSC settings on both black pearl, and go pro, as they need to be the same on both.

I've read a lot about the bad matching of immersionRC and 32-CH Black pearl. You could expect low range. If you however have no problems and good range, I'd like to hear about it. Glad it works for you.

I am not seeing a great picture as I fly out farther so do I need to change to another transmitter to receive a good signal at a longer distance?.

How far is your range before static becomes overwhelming? 500-800 meters would be the norm (with adequate antenas). The 32ch is known to have terrible performance on band F (for immersionRC), so if your range is like no more than 200 meters, that is probably your issue then.

I would suggest you get a transmitter running on other bands, like the Boscam TS 351 for example.

Frequency range:
FR1 5865,5845,5825,5805,5785,5765,5745,5725
FR2 5733,5752,5771,5790,5809,5828,5847,5866
FR3 5707,5685,5665,5645,5885,5905,5925,5945
FR4 5740,5760,5780,5800,5820,5840,5860,5880

Your antennas also play a huge range. Are you still using the stock whip antennas? Rather use circular-polarized ones like the
Fatshark SpiroNET or the Boscam  Cloud Spirit Circular Polarized Antennas.
