Sometimes I forget to remove the gimbal guard when powering up my Phantom (not for flight but for flight planning, parameters adjusting, firmware upgrade, etc.) and I suspect it is not a good thing for the gimbal motors.  So I painted in red.  No more excuses ;)

I suggest DJI makes it red in future versions...

I used multi surface spray paint (Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch) only on external side (not on the surface that protects the lens)
