I'am an Android device owner. Recently I've tryed to change the exp settings to achive smoother control over the bird. I've noticed that changing the values of the throttle/rudder is quite hard due to app not remembering changed values. When I check the EXP tab again, they are reversed to their default. Any ideas how to make the change permanent? Both the quad and RC are powered on and connected. Thoughts?

DJI Paladin,

Yes, both the drone and the RC are powered on and connected. I have the latest firmware installed on the drone, RC and my GoApp is up to date. I have had this issues since I bought my drone, on previous versions of P4 firmware, GoApp and even Android build. iOS users seems to be free of this issue. I have seen few videos of people changing this settings on their Apple devices without any problem. Could it be Android related issue?

I do not own any iOS devices. What do you mean, by saying "other input methods"
Is there a way to change the values in DJI assistant?

Or I should say changing the input tools. Unfortunately currently these values cannot be changed in DJI Assistant 2.

I tested my P4 with an android phone which uses QQ input. The changed value can be saved and it doesn't change after rebooting the drone or app.

Dear DJI Paladin,

So you are saying that the only way to change the values in exp tab of DJI GO App, is to use iOS device instead of one running Android? Well, this seems to be a quick fix rather then a real solution. Someone before me have started similar thread few weeks before, so this isn't just me who have some difficulties with this settings. Maybe someone else had overcome this annoying issue?

Sorry for your frustration. But I've tested this with the latest android app and nothing wrong with this.So that's why I suggest you to change the input tools. Don't forget to press "Done" after the changing.

That's one of the Chinese input tools which can also type English letters and numbers. Maybe the different cultural background leads to your confusion. Just to clarify, the EXP values can be only changed in DJI Go app.

I use Android with DJIgo. There are the expo settings. So on what way is your suggestion  I can change them if I can not use the DJIGo app where those settings are on. Its a bit confusing. Sorry to bother you...

It doesn't matter. If you meet such kind of issue, it doesn't hurt to try it with IOS devices or other Android input tools, haha

I understand... have no Apple units. With my telefone, a S5 of Samsung with last firmware and newest App.... docent work either.
Can I understand that some functions only work wit IOS software... because DJI like it more?

I will try your idea with different input tools. But it's kinda weird to not be able to change this values with official app and  stock Android input tools. Will give it a go and try some third party apps later.
One thing bothers me: what do you mean by saying: "don't forget to press Save"? Can u post some screenshots, or a short wideo of you changing this values on your Android device?

I recently had the same problem as I got the solution to
I made a period (dot), and now saved on the ...
and after restarting the drone does it still .. so comma should be changed to the period.
and remember drone should be powered on while changing the settings.

I think I have found the real issue here. One does not simply have to delete two last digits of the value i.e "40" (from the whole value "040"), but rather all the digits with the "0" and type it again in the same format (i.e. 035 or 055). This helped me set the desired values. Still this is a bug (low severity, but a bug in my opinion). I hope my findings will help Android users.

Glad to hear that the problem has been solved and thanks for your finding.

But a bit weird though, it's a known issue for longer than a year, after a few updates, and still didn't correct it...

C'est toujours pas corrigé en 2021.
