I know I have at least another drone owner about 1 1/2 blocks away who I talk with. He has the same drone, P3A as I do which he got it a few months ago so I have been helping him out. I did mention we need to be careful of each other but then we both thought what's the chance we would be flying at the same time in the same place. WELL you just proved that we may meet up when we did not expect it.

Yes, I know this guy.. i saw him flying about a month ago and actually went and found him. I am not comfortable flying like he is, but he does fly very well -  he was flying non-fpv here. I am overly cautious, he is overly confident, which caused him a few crashes... but he seems to be safe enough not to crash me. It was the only time we "flew together" so far... it was certainly fun. I have a lot more footage, but this was the only part where I saw him so close.. I need to practice way more coordination to be able to follow a moving object in FPV I love the way he came out of nowhere... very Sci-Fi ;) BTW, he's been flying rc for many. many years.. longer than my 10 years.... and if frigging shows ;) He was running circles around me, and the Blade Chroma is an amazingly agile quad...

     Just as I was settling in to watch Drone Wars, the video became restricted.  Can you fix it?

If you're using a Phantom 4, you can actually use active track to follow that drone.  

Lol that's awesome!  I love the creativity of this group, often even more than the imagery.  What drone is he flying?  Cx20?.

KDCOX: I am flying P3Adv, he is flying B lade Chroma, not sure which submodel.
DJI-H.C - yes, or litchi app can do that to, but i do not believe neither looks at altitude changes, also with brightness and speed, I am not sure how well will it be able to keep up.. Interesting concept though ;)

     Well, something fixed it.  I came through real well!  Mahalo, good video, very creative.  BTW, what part of Colorado are you.  A lot of my family is there.

     My friend and I are doing that with a P2 Zenmuse or P3P and my new P4.  I even tried to use Active Track with my P4, but it would try to latch on and apparently failed.  It would orient to it, but would not move when it moved away.  I still have to work on that one.

     Enjoyed the entertainment.  Glad it worked today.

Phantom series are a bit too small to be tracked. Inspire will work better.

Nice! But; it lost it at the end.. I wish Inspire did more altitude changes, wonder how that would have done.... I assume if the inspire moved much quicker it probably would not have worked either? Does inspire have such a follow option as well?

     Did your tests use propguards?  Do you think it is density or surface area that makes the difference?  I want to make it work, 'cuz I am not buying an Inspire to test the idea!

Clear your cookies, maybe use ccleaner, I wonder if your browser has an issue. If you use chrome, try the video link in an incognito window....

No, Inspire doesn't have Active Track.   

In the video, it wasn't about the absolute speed of the Inspire, it's the angular speed that caused the P4 to lose track of it.  Clearly the P4 isn't intelligent enough to speculate the Inspire's location based on its last known speed and direction, once the Inspire disappeared in the camera.

I'm not sure about this. I would try adding some contrast to the drone by sticking black papers to the shell or even hanging some colorful  paper on the landing gear. Admittedly it wouldn't look beautiful, but it should catch the eyes of another Phantom 4.

i had to cut my flight short, because i think the other drone caused interference. i had a video lag of like 5-10 seconds, which is unusual.

Did u find the other pilot?
