This is your replacement X5 correct? Do you perform the X5 update on an Inspire prior to putting on the M600 or are you just trying to update it the same way?

Same here trying to update my new out of the box x5r on the Matrice 600 and it won't go... The FW reported in the app for the camera is 1.8.0.70?? What gives!!!

The X5 firmware is expected to be made available when the M600 is connected to the Assistant 2 Software. If you do not see the camera firmware currently, then it should be made available in the next software update.

Your only other way to update the X5 is via an Inspire 1 or OSMO. The SD card firmware method would not work with the M600 due to the extra data package for the wrong aircraft.

I dont know why you need the X5R update but my X5R gave no image when connecting it to the M600 (x5r came off my Inspire raw)
I got the x5r working on my M600 by making the "four button controller reset" then it started to work :-)
Works incredibly well on the M600 very stable and no need for afterstab. Flies for 30 min with std lipo!

i cannot view video from X5 !
i test hdmi with gopro , GH4 , Alpha 5100 and work great but impossible to view X5 video
i can control X5 with LB2 , photo and camera trigger work
i put 50% EXT and 50% HDMI
100% EXT and 0% hdmi
ipad version dji go is 2.8.7
firmware are:
A3 1.3.0.00
LB2 air is 1.4.0.70+
Camera (upgraded on the inspire 1 pro) 1.9.1.10
radio LB is 1.15
all work but no X5 video ...
wirring seem's good , i check 5 times all wire

Just to clarify, do you have your unit set up for PIP, or do you only have the X5? Does the X5 seem to be receiving power? What kind of LED indicators are you getting from the camera and Lightbridge 2?

when i sellect LB , i can see the video from hdmi (gopro 3b+) and Lb2 led is green , all work fine

but when i select EXT to see the X5 video , LB2 led is red fixe and no video

X5 is updated via the assistant2 software, if it need to be updated it will show there. I see its mentioned in the thread above, No.5

My X5 has the latest update and I did not do anything to load the firmware except the assistant2 link. I am now on 1.10.1.40 and was on the 1.10.1.30. I can assume the camera F/w is bundled with the A3 F/w or the LB2 f/w.
if your f/w is 1.40 then you are up to date. if not make sure to do any update you see on the assistant 2. one thing I did when the go app said firmware was available was to roll back the f/w to the previous, then in assistant 2,  put the latest on again, it worked for me and the reminder went away.

I am in a similar issue as fansca831033. The DJI GO app says there's a Firmware Update Required. However, according to the DJI Assistant 2 App, both the Lightbridge 2 and Matrice 600 Pro firmwares are up to date. No other products are listed. I have tried following the DJI's Youtube tutorial as far as updating the X5, but whenever I boot the drone, the camera seems to ignore the .bin file on the Micro SD card (it is located in the root directory.) When checking the log files, there's not a post-update .txt file saying failure or success. Only the OSMO_FC550_CAM_VERSION file, containing "
ȯ" and the file hasn't been modified since 1/1/2014.

I have attempted rolling back the Lightbridge 2 to V1.0.1 and then back to V1.1.50, but to no avail. I can't rollback the M600 Pro firmware as the only version available is V1.0.0.80.

Version Numbers are:
App 3.1.4
Aircraft 1.0.0.80
Remote Controller 1.2.00
Camera 1.9.1.10
LB2 Air 1.1.50

I don't know if you have a osmo? but this is how I first put the updated F/W on, I used the pro F/W.

Cant think how to do it any other way, why don't you pm DJI Jamie, he's very helpful.

I had the same problem with no image from X5R on M 600 with LB2
Found out when switching from Ronin to x5r and a lot of updates later i had to change these settings in the Go app
Bandwith allocation to something like 50%
App output mode to EXT
Then image Ok :-)

How do we update the X5 with the M600?

I've tried the SD card method so many different times and it won't work.

Please, I'm desperate, I'm booked all week with jobs & I cannot get the camera to run normally.
