With my recent flight I noticed the channel frequncy is set to manuel (where you can choose which channel, mine was set to 19, and you canset the transmission quality) should it be auto? I have no idea how does that effect your flight.

I would recommend leaving it in Auto.  If the manual channel has interference you will loose video on the screen.

You have to do the 32 channel hack.....

Speed should be set to as low as it will go.  That results in the least data flow and will be much less likely to stall the video or not be able to keep up.

Basically it is recommended to set it to Auto.If the live feed is not good and lagging, you can select custom channel (lower interference the better) and make the transmission quality lower.

I bet Paladin has 32 channels on his own Phantom. LOL (wink wink)I set mine to channel 25. At least 4 channels above and below 25 are all clean and clear of any interferences.

Use auto, if you take off and get interference you can choose custom and pick the channel with the bext video quality. You can also lower the video transmission bitrate.

I was wondering why the video quality wasn't quite right on my screen (it didn't looked like 720P) I will try it on auto next flight see if it's better.

There is a potential bug here, because I can set the P3 to 4MBPS/Auto, but the P4 rejects it and goes custom.

Custom channel is risky when we fly long missions.  A good channel at Home may not be a good channel further out.

PLEASE ASK DEVELOPMENT TO FIX THIS!
We need to be able to set it to 4 MBPS and AUTO.
We will then enjoy maximum video coverage, increased performance, less video lag, we can use more devices, .



I put my flying on hold till this fix in in!

And every time I fly, I usually sell for you 1 or 2 P4's to people who ask me!

Last week, 2 people got the model from me so they can purchase them for their kids!

Can you post a screenshot. On both P3 and P4 i can only see the bitrate in custom.That's what Auto does, chooses the best channel and bitrate.
