Never mind the Karma, check out the Mavick - and I'm afraid it's relatively low price will hammer the 2nd hand value of the Phantoms, inc the P4.
Aside from that, as a general guide I presume 2nd hand items are worth 1/2 of the new price. If the item is in hot demand higher, in low demand then lower. As the demand is now for the Mavick and Karma, along with the P4, I just don't see the P3Pro being worth very much. A buyer would have to accept A. 2nd hand B. bulky form factor and C. lower spec than new, smaller models.
In the world of fast-moving hi-tech, it's a dinosaur.
In contrast to all that, it's entirely free as you already have it, it takes amazing photos and video, and with some care and concern not to disturb people, you can still legally use it.
I used to enjoy hunting rabbits and pigeon in the UK with my trusty air rifle. Now THAT'S a restricted hobby... but as someone mentioned, get up early, or shoot towards dusk. Works with both rabbits and great lighting for video ;)
Everything else aside, it's worth pointing out how the 'sunk cost fallacy' is a real thing, it hurts and feels horrible, but it's called a fallacy for a reason. It's human nature to resent the fact we spent a lot on something now worth much less, or even worthless, but if you step outside yourself and get all logical for a moment..? Who cares? You bought what you wanted, you had some fun, if the hobby is not for you anymore then just move on. If you get ANY money for something you don't want then that's a bonus. Think of all those that bought one and crashed it beyond repair, or badly programmed Litchi and lost it?
Bottom line, you spent your money on a great drone, flew a great drone, got some great footage and hey, you've still GOT a great drone. If you no longer want it and someone gives you money for it, that's a nice bonus!
It's not worth letting it, or people messing about and being silly, upset you. |
