Hi  I brought my phantom 3 4k of a guy second hand it was great when he showed me it flying went really far I got it home set it all up and the app said update needed so I followed and installed the update the app is 2.8.3 and version is 1.5.40 I am using a xperia z android phone I am only getting about 44 metres high and losing signal and I am lucky to get 80 metres length any ideas please

very common problem with the standard / 4k edition. lots of people have similar problem with the latest firmware, still waiting to be addressed. some people benefit from downgrading the firmware (possible via an sd card) have a little search here and you should find the instructions

hi thank you I have been trying to find the way to down grade but not sure what version to download to or how to do it hopefully will find out

I've been one of the lucky few who dont have encountered any problems with the 4k what so ever. OP do you mean fpv range or radio? I've experienced that older phones and tablets struggle with fpv. I use an Z3 and flew 550m yesterday without windsurfers no problem.

try downgrading to 1.5.7 as thats what worked for a few

I see! Have you checked your antenna orientation? If no difference try downgrading, and if that doesnt work i'll leave it to DJI-Paladin or Ken and they will most likely say its firmware error and you have to send it in for repairs. Try everything possible before you return it tho!

struggling to get the drone to recognise the firmware its does nothing

Can someone please advise on how to get the drone to read the firmware on the sd card thankyou or if I cannot get this problem sorted how would I go about sending it into dji or are dji bringing out an update as this seems to be a common problem with the last update thank you in advance for any help

Hi there, i bought my p3 4k on the 26th, first couple of flights i took it easy, didnt go too far, as i was getting used to it. Then i started to go a bit further, but no luck, 400 feet is the most i got, before the signal got lost, and the RTH button failed on me as well, good thing i was able to walk closet, to reconnect with the bird. Highest ive been is about 150 feet, right above me, it looses connection, and jt goes tk auto landing. Been emailing CS, they only wanted me, to take few screen shots of the device info, and i havent got any response since friday.

Same problem here, the link above shows instructions for the Phantom 3 standard, is the firmware the same for the 4K? Because I can't find firmware specially for the 4K on the support page...
