Hi all! I'm excited to join this forum.
Just picked this Phantom 3 Pro up 3 weeks ago, and here is "Sputnik's" maiden flight (apart from up-down/side-side in yard). My fiance in bow of boat was certain that I would splash it into the lake.
I am solidly hooked on drone videography now and completely impressed with the DJI company and this 4K video platform.
Would love feedback of any sort.
Btw, I found the video to be a bit jerky and thought perhaps I had a loose gimbal or something.
Closer inspection revealed that foam rubber "Remove before flying" piece of packing material.
Sheesh...
Cheers, John

Did you happen to try the Follow feature?
If so how well did it work on the water?

Hey Jamie,
Thanks.
Sputnik was a first, and this is my 1st.
I'd yet to download the firmware for it.
I wasn't on the boat and that was the part freaking out my GF.
I was under a beach umbrella about 1/2 a mile away flying by Samsung Pad.
I've since used the feature that circles a point, but I've not used follow me.
I'm sure it would work great on the water.

Hey Jamie,
Thanks.
Sputnik was a first, and this is my 1st.

I'm one of the three dudes standing next to the dock at the end.
Wasn't in the boat. That's what blew me away about the drone.
Thing is frigging excellent.

Hopefully, you at least had permission of everyone to fly close to them?

Wait till you get the hang of it. You're gonna blow us away.
A couple of those passes looked pretty close though...be careful.

Don't know if it is me but that video seems to have the jitters. It's not your flying just seems to shake like you have some vibration.
But after completly reading your post. Lol you found what the problem was.

Happy flying and be careful with that thing don't want to dunk it.

You are not the first with that foam thingy. I use it when I put the drone in my backpack. I went on a trek, and took video at the end of the trail, only to discover that the foam was still on the camera.... So glad others have the same experience. I now have a label on the plastic camera holder to remind me to remove the foam.
