Hey guys I've been doing some research on the P3A and I've noticed especially on Amazon that some P3As say only 1080p camera instead of the 2.7k camera. Were earlier models of the P3A only 1080p instead of the advertised 2.7k? I want to make sure when I order, I'm getting the correct 2.7k model. Unless they are just incorrect in their description and all P3As have the 2.7k camera included.

The P3A will do 2.7k.   2.7K: 2704 x1520p 24/25/30 (29.97)

All P3As has been able to shoot 2.7K video ever since Firmware 1.4.
You are seeing ads using the descriptive text from before that time.

No problem at all, you can also order from DJI.com too.

I just asked this same question to an online chat representative and her response was, "That is just an aproximately.Actually the range in the shoot in 1080p is depends in he intereference in the location." I was confused at the range and resolution on the box and in the manual.

She is getting with the "Developer Department" to get me an answer. I am guessing I am good to go, the box is wrong or something?

lol,  welcome to the dji family.  you will generally get much more useful information here on the forum.  you are good to go.

amazon specs stink, just like ebay and many others..... people do not put the right stuff in their advertisement....

I got this directly from DJI and the webpage had the right specs, it's the box that doesn't. I am still confused.

Yes, the box is wrong, all P3 Advanced aircraft can shoot in 2.7K. The specs posted on the DJI web site are also correct. The chat people are giving you wrong information, happens quite often actually.

The earlier versions of the P3A used to only shoot in 1080P. A firmware update allowed the series to record in 2.7K. Depending on where you bought it and what motors you have, you most likely got an older version that still had the older 1080P advertisement on it.

Okay, so what about the range being listed as 1+ versus 3+? I am only asking because the range on this seems to be about the same as my P3S. I haven't been able to go farther than about 3/4 of a mile in several locations. Yes, I am pointing the antennas correctly.

Are any of those several locations good low interference areas?
The Advanced will easily fly several miles out away from interference.

If your Advanced will only go as far as a Standard, something's not right.
The Lightbridge Advanced has a range much greater than the wifi Standard and easily goes much further.
How's your antenna orientation?

It is so sad that someone who is charged with dealing with customers can make such a stupid, non-sensical answer as that.

Just a few things to try, if you have not already. I would recommend resetting the RC by using the following button combination:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and relink the remote.

Once you relink the RC to the aircraft, that should ensure a more stable reception.

I have gotten 3 miles out of my Advanced and I live in the mountains.  You may want to have it checked out.
