I see that there is a new update on the phone assistant which works with the new ronin MX, but i have the older ronin-m, do the new features for the Mx works with the older ronins? Or is it something that will kill & burnt the motors if being modified?

Features like Strength, Outfilter and Control in the "Motor" settings.

Plus all the other new things.

Updating to the new app would not negatively affect your Ronin M if you update to the new app. You can update at your discretion.

I'm saying that you can upgrade and it won't have adverse effects. If you are hesitant, however, then that's up to you.
