Hello all,

Just wondering if DJI is working on a tracking focus function for the X5 in their firmware/software department.
I'm currently doing the octopus and with only 2 hands available, it's kinda busy...

Are you filming at very close range with the inspire and X5? I find that setting everything to manual, focusing to infinity (manually), setting shutter to double the frame rate (or 1/60th at 60fps), and just about any aperture results in a pretty sharp shot.

I will say that the footage out of the camera often needs some quick work in post but the end result is very sharp and crisp with fantastic contrast.

I can see follow focusing helping during low altitude close up shooting situations but frankly, I won't be holding my breadth.  I am still waiting for a really good true seamless variable follow auto focus on my Nikon DSLR's...it's still kinda cheezy at the moment.

Hey Sharif, I think you messed up the frame rate rule of thumb...

For 30fps you would want 1/60

For 60 fps you would want 1/120 shutter

That would be correct.
