Im wondering in using  the litchi app would solve me compass errors

Using Litchi will be great for waypoint flying but it won't do anything to address whatever is causing compass errors.

But a compass error usually isn't a fault in the compass.
It's almost always a perfectly functioning compass telling you that there is a problem wit the magnetic environment surrounding it.
The most common cause is putting your Phantom close to steel - particularly reinforced concrete.
When are you getting compass errors?

Hello Matthew, I'd suggest you to re-calibrate the compass in an open area.

I have tryed calibrating  the imu  and compass in 3 different  locations  and it will only hold GPS  (stay green) if pointing North Idly at my house which does have a metal roof. Is the GPS that sensitive?  As thank you all

The GPS unit should pick up sats regardless of its orientation.
Are you outdoors with a good area of sky clear?
Your GPS won't work under a metal roof.

The IMU, GPS and compass are unrelated.
Calibrating one won't have any effect on the other two.

Make sure you calibrate the compass outdoors and well away from metal structures.  Also, make sure everything is completely cooled down before doing IMU calibration.  And, make sure the aircraft is on a perfectly level and flat surface when calibrating IMU.
