I put both on the front, yeah I know that they need to be on the diagonal, but I did not like that the gimbal could not fully rotate.  Probably binding up the gimbal rotation is not great for the motor.  If the back shock mounts come loose I will deal with it, but the design is not well thought out.

I had the same problem, and used zip ties at two points and the standard plastic clip on a third location. Been flying about a month now with no issues. You can shape the zip ties a bit for a low profile and are flat enough to fit under the metal baseplate.

I don't understand why folks think this is a problem. Why would you want the gimbal to rotate so far that you see the landing gear? Don't you just rotate the Phantom when you want the camera to rotate?
