I am about to hit 100 successful flights on my P4 and was wondering if I need to look at doing any maintenance such as changing the props or anything else?
Also what happens when I hit 100 flights, any fanfare or just me celebrating alone?
I dont think you need to do anything. I checked the nuts and bolts but nothing was loose. The P3 i had before was another story. The shell was worn out after 200 flights.
For how inexpensive the props are, why not change them.
On the P3, I had well over 100 flights and never changed the props until I was doing a lot of flying over the ocean. But my props had never even touched any surface ever. Still, I should have changed them earlier just for the heck of it.
Thanks Matt, 100 flights snuck up quickly. I have a had a few close calls, with loss of signal in far away places but overall my flights have been trouble free even in some of the most challenging locations. In one of my recent flights, I scaled the top of a mountain in extremely windy conditions and thought I might lose the drone but she performed flawlessly and came home just fine.
Check out this footage. Obviously best to see it in 4K but it is epic.
Congrats on your success MAD35! Come on over lets have a pint! Not too much though don't want to get really pissed.
I only have a few flights so far but the other day I did wash my props with soap and water then dried them nicely with a dish towel. Two sets came with mine and so far I have not ordered any spares but probably should.
It's a milestone or birthday so to speak, give her a new set of props. Ok now to watch your flight...
That was really nice and it did look windy there when you look at the trees. Another place I'll never see in person but thanks to our comrades with these cool flying cameras we do get glimpses of the far away places. I need to pack up and travel some!
We'll look forward to the 100th!
: )
Meant to ask... do you ever use waypoints such as Litchi or another app?
