the footage i did on first flight  from camera sd ok maybe some tweaks needed  

but had to land as screen was going of and on and was not safe to fly

i would say it is definitely a firmware issue  

come on dji a fix  asap

Guys are these just video issues or stills as well as I only require stills for now

its the streaming video link and the bad camera control that is the problem. The actual pics taken are ok, but getting to a place to take those pics is the issue (a safety issue as well as a convenience issue)

Try downgrading the controller firmware to v1.6 ? , I did and the Z3 is a lot better , not nearly as much screen freeze,
at least  it makes the Inspire flyable set on 4K video until DJI  gets a proper fix out for this.
Edit Update . this never worked .

based on the reports from others the X3 and Z3 camera's were affected by this latest FW update in different ways. R&D is working on something now

just been out to fly  totally unable to fly with z3  tried x3 ok but still bits of breakup

have down graded to 1.6 and looks better with z3 going to try later

if no luck it going back

as a beta tester  am totally disgusted that DJI have released an up grade that totally
make your aircraft unflyable

well after downgrade rc to 1.6 took her out to try again

no difference it switched in and out of the app did not know if it was inspire 1 or zenmuse Z3  pi dropped and breaking up

so not the rc firmware  just downgrading to 1.8.10 on bird with x3 on

no video signal on 1.8.10 just requires upgrade

no joy DJI strike again

it its going back

It's normal of DJI or others like Yuneec, They can't say as it becomes the "Official" company position. I accept that.
To promote and bring to market a device that seems to have fallen flat on it's face only makes me assume that it wasn't tested on INSPIRE1 but another bird all together.
Maybe a Lightbridge 2 version. Don't know just throwing it out there.

Still no word from DJI. I almost positive I'll be sending mine back to b and h for a full refund, this weekend.

I was hoping DJI would've addressed the issue but it looks like they dropped the ball, big time. This is why I never buy direct from DJI. At least, I'm getting a full refund.

This is to bad because I wanted to get one of these camera's. I am holding out for the FW update because of the issues with the X3 video downlink is unreliable.

maybe they will fix all the camera related issues soon with the next firmware?

It would be nice for them to get on the horn and notify us the issues will be resolve soon, but every forum I ve tried to ask and no DJI moderator responds... So I just return it...and be done with it...

I received my Z3 yesterday and tried it out on our I1 v1.   It worked ok.   In a single 20 minute flight there were ~5 instances of quick pixelation.   In its current form i can definitely use it.   

I never upgraded my RC from 1.6....   and i did not run new firmware on Z3 as suggested.

I flew it again this morning.

my altitude was 125' vertical distance 500 - 1000'.    This time i did experience so lagging and freeze frame.   No green screen.   I do not fly FPV so am not fixated on the screen.   If you do you will not be happy.   For my purposes, doing inspections so on, i can live with it until it is fixed.   

App 2.8.7, AC 1.91.30, RC 1.6.0, Camera 1.9.1.30.

I did not update the camera FW as is suggested.

Just flew mine for first time today.  What an utter disgrace.  It's going back Monday.  DJI really dropped the ball on this one
Video feed continually scrolling, from takeoff, dropouts, jello even when not zoomed and at 150m lost the video feed completely and ended flying blind with zero camera feed.

I highly recommend people do not part with their money until DJI sort this disgrace out.  Shame on you DJI.

Sorry guys. Still bad news. I just tested the update with the Z3 and it still has issues. The camera will not initiate on start up if left at a vertical position on its side. The video feed still cuts out and there is lag. I was filming video at 1080p 60fps. Seems like DJI didn't focus on these issues for this update.

Really annoying that DJI help seems completely unaware that there it a mass problem. They're asking me for files for an RMA. I've stated multiple times I don't want to return it and I just want it addressed. Refuses to check forum for similar problems

I was going to hold out at first but I got mine today.  The only issue I had was calibrating the controller which was an easy fix.  I have recorded photos and video with no issues whatsoever.  The zoom worked flawlessly so far.  Prior to my purchase I had read several blogs where there were problems and people were returning their cameras, that  almost pushed me away from my purchase  but so far so good. Give me a week of flying and I'll have a better feeling for this new camera and what it can do.
