I have two Ver 1 X3 cameras that suffered hard landings.  As near as I can tell, the damage to both cameras is identical:  broken main arm and torn/severed ribbon cable.  I was referred to Jeremy at US Drone repair, but I did not act quickly enough.  He is out of parts and likely will not be getting more soon.  Can anyone give me other recommendations than sending directily to DJI.  I've been down that road before and the turnaround time was very long.

Sent mine in for repairs on 4/9/16.  Got a tracking that it will be back on the 24th.   Sure cannot complain about that.  Good Job DJI

Were you able to send just the camera unit or did they want the whole kit?  If I can send just the camera, then I will do so.  Let me know.  Thanks for the reply.

The last time I had an issue was with the bird and it took 12 weeks to complete and return to me.  That's my concern.

The turnaround time has improved since then. Depending on where you are located, turnaround times have been roughly 1-2 weeks.

Sorry, you sent a gimbal for repair in April and you're getting it back on August 24th?

I sent just the bird in. No camera, batteries or remote.  Quote was 370.  Bird was bend out of shape from the crash but everything else worked except the gear was binding when going up or down.

I have two cameras and I just sent them in today.  DJI told me 1-2 weeks turnaround.  Both cameras broke due to hard landings (my fault) on uneven surfaces (again my fault).  The main arm that the camera hangs from broke and the internal ribbon cable tore.  I'm pretty sure nothing else was damaged.

Anybody have this same issue and if so any input on repair costs?  I guess it doesn't really matter at this point, because it is going to cost what it will, but I would like to prepare myself for the out of pocket as soon as possible.
