Great editing between day and night! Also cool idea!

Brilliant, worked really well. Can you give some tips on how you did it / repeat the shots. Was there much fiddling to get them lined up?

Was some of this done with Litchi or other waypoint software?  Really cool on the transitions not sure how you could repeat that.

It's a experimental shot I've been waiting ages to try out.
There were only 2 * 6 min continuous shots filmed one in the day one at night. The Phantom had to be handed over to computer control in order to get exactly the same results both with orientation and camera movements, similar to the film industries "Motion Control systems". This was done with litchi pre programmed at home before the first flight. I had to wait for nearly no wind day/night. Both shots were done on the same day.

It was done with Litchi, Similar to "Motion Control systems" in the film industry.

Hi Ian, that is superb....very impressive.

I have Litchi and not tried using it yet but I do need to try that. I take it then you set the waypoints including points of interest on the PC then fly the mission?

Also what PC editing software did you use?

Hi there, just two 6 minute videos were used. Shot on the 23rd of August. It's a test for another project with more shots and angles I have mind. Glad you liked it.

Yep just two 6min footages =, using litchi. I used Sony Vegas pro for the editing. Glad you liked.

It's probably an illusion because of the slow transitions between shots. Plus it was recorded on the same day so there probalby were a few cars still in the same spot.

Sorry that was 750 feet. at no point did I fly over anyone.

This is so cool!

This would have been hard to pull off maybe 5 years ago in a real helicopter, but your your work with a drone and Litchi is outstanding! Time to write a book on "Advanced Drone Cinematography."
