Love this clip, very slick indeed.

I really loved the video!!  It gets 110/100 in my book!!

But I also like to mention that I would never fly that close to a huge metal structure with people in the area.  Not worth risking it, if the GPS gets messed up.

well I shot it in 4k. and used digital zoom and rendered it in HD. I was pleased with the quality though. So I weren't as close as it looked.

Your video is really cool and very inspiring.  I already have a mission laid out fairly close to home for a construction project where they run big bright lights during the night.

So what's your plan for the next project, do you know yet?

Well I would like to go to Blackpool and do the same thing. There is also Paignton seafront up the road from me and a few other areas round south Devon. I was looking at doing a music video to promote my Trio but the weather has to be very still for this to work, and guess how many nice days we get in the UK lol

Please post your version as soon as you do it, I'd love to see another .

When I looked at the video again, at 1.27 the moving cars are the same in the night an day? That looks like an editing feature then?

That's really strange, I saw a buss change into a chicken.  Maybe I am seeing things.

Here's the layout I am looking at.  Still need to visit the area and check it out some before I go sailing away.  The plan is ultimately to leave the school yard head over and come back.  The cranes are the only thing I am really concerned with and how far out and what direction they might be sitting at the time.  I had the mission laid out then got a little concerned on space so I used the "scale" feature for the first time and increased the size of the whole mission then brought back the starting and ending points where I wanted them.

ok not sure what effect the cranes will have on the compass though and litchi will need to be unencumbered. Better to be safe than sorry.

I had not thought much about the cranes being metal, I was more worried about them sticking out at a particular altitude and there being a physical collision.  I expect they are bulky enough in structure (unlike twigs and wires etc...) and can be seen.  I won't bank on avoidance though and just monitor the flight.  Unless there's some kind of interference I should have good contact all the way it's not all that far.
Or, I might drive over there look it over and decide naaaa not ready for prime time just yet.  Still figuring out where I want to mount my Trackimo b4 I get too ambitious.

Man that was "knock your socks off" cool. Great job. I was wondering how you were able to make those seamless transitions from day to night. Very cool. How long in post did that take? Great work and a tip of the old hat to you fellow Droner.

Hi thanks, It took more planning than shooting to be honest flight time 12 mins . I only live half a mile away from the sea front in Torquay. Planning was on the Litchi mission hub at home trying to figure out where I wanted the phantom to film as it was cruising round the bay. I also recorded it in 4K in order to use digital zooming to get close up and then render in HD .The two flights were practically identical and it was funny because in post I was able to push the fader up and down it was like having the power of night and day. I had to be carful to do the fades tastefully and not over do them in such a small amount of time. It was also the first time I have ever used Litchi. It certainly has attracted a lot of attention. Glad you liked it.

Thanks, I'm hoping to see other people do the same thing now. Before I did it I had never seen it done so I was sceptical if it were possible, due to wind differences interference etc. I'ts sort of nice being the first droner to do it lol {:4_181:}

Thanks for your comment. I spent 20 mins filming it. and about 15 mins planning it on litchi. 30 mins editing on Sony Vegas.  Glad you liked it.

lol No I've been flying since the release of the Phantom 3. But I've been making videos a lot longer and I love doing “trick shots” special effects etc. It’s the first time I've done a special effect shot with aerial footage though and I knew I could achieve this with Litchi. Glad you liked it.

Like it?  That's an understatement!  
Which edition of Litchi are you using?  From what I see it is only compatible with Windows and I use iOS.

I'm using an Apple IPad mini 2 all I know its the latest for that platform. Glad you liked it.
