I am curious to know how many people are recording in D-Log as opposed to the "picture style:none" setting.

Hey thanks so much for the great reply!!! Much appreciated. Yes it would appear that the D-Log hasn't come up as nice.

Both sequences are nicely shot so its really a matter of taste here. I shoot with the 'None' profile on RAW and the color tone is different from the h.264 video even after grading. However, most of the time, in good light and if you are not pixel peeping at UHD resolution, the results are good enough with None and the h.264 (SD card) output.

As shown here, subject, flying skill and editing are more important at the end.

I have to add I am depending on fast working. I am not a profi editor.

Making a video does not take more then an hour and I dont do any finetunings.

I always use LUTs no matter if D-log or not.

The D-log video was made with -1 -1 -1 settings. Though many recommend even -2 -2 -2 I will set it to zero again because I cannot see the advantage of the minus settings.

The videos are made with X3 camera so maybe the camery is the problem why D-log does not make the difference

Forget D-Log and None, try Cinelike and prepare for jaw-dropping footage - low light or high-contrast situation it's always right on the money compared to anything else.
