Is there a configuration that permits seeing the camera image during a time lapse/hyperlapse instead of the last photo taken? When doing hyperlapse, it's essential that you can maintain a point of reference on the screen but if the screen shows the last photo taken, you lose that point of reference making hyperlapse nearly impossible.

Has anyone been able to get around this problem?

You used to be able to! it was good until they changed it about two or three updates ago, it use to shoot like a video, now it holds stupid still shots on the screen.
