Just had the P4 for a few months and got a new phone - the s7.  The phone rebooted and my new P4 landed in the sea, totally burnt out.  I managed to view the last video footage - when the phone rebooted the P4 stopped and went straight down to land in the sea, controls for emergency landing back to homebase didn't respond and because of the phone reboot there are no flight records saved.  Can I get any reimbursement from DJI or Samsung?  

Had an update today
Tested using the 'video' which can be used as a test to see if the phone will restart...and it hasnt restarted. Will have to test it in flight now

Same for me, just updated latest firmware.. If it doesn't pop up go into your settings / about device / updates and update manually.. Just watched the video and no reboots will do a test flight later and let you all know. ( Samsung galaxy s7 edge / Vodafone / UK ) .

I'm having a bad day today...First, the Ipad Air shuts down because it can't handle really hot weather (+40ºC) so I turn to my brand spanking new S7 Edge that can handle the temp, but keeps rebooting...Now I read this really long thread and DJI says it;s Samsung fault and Samsung, apparently, does not care...The only thing that I think of is to ask DJI to be the better man, step up and solve this mess...Please...

Problem not solved.  Running latest samsung software as of 22 Feb 2017.  DJI GO 4 will not start and sometimes forces reboot on Samsung S7 Edge.  Using DJI Go (pre Phantom 4)  and hoping for the best.  DJI Tech support also stated that the S7 is not on their list of supported devices FIVE months ago.  The S7 is almost one year old.   

Please help me to check if disabling "fast charging with cable" solves the problem. Option is in "settings ... battery."

I have s7 edge 6.0.1   

I also have a samsung tab 4 8" but I love my s7 and runs a loooooooot faster! No lag at all..

and remote controler is 1.6 version, i dod a roll back just in case

is it safe to use an s7  on 7.0 yet..i broke my s5 and got a good deal on a new s7...not flown mavic with it yet but i have connected it to change some camera settings....ive only done 2 flights and dont want to loose it on my 3rd,,TIA

is this issue solve ?

you have to put the last version that worked before the last update would cause reboots.

Hi, anyone here using a Samsung S6 Edge+ for their Phantom 3 Pro? I'm having trouble connecting the phone with RC/DJI Go. It doesn't show camera view, seems not allowing data transfer. Anyone got a fix?

Hi, I am using a S7 in version 7 and have no problem.
I have the DJI go crashed just one a month ago but now it's working fine.
I just close all background apps before open the dji and litchi.

Same problem.
Samsung galaxy s7 edge and P3A restrts the phone after few minutes of flying.
Have the last software version on the phone and the DJI go.
What can i do with it?Now s7 edge is in the compability list.

I am having the same problem with my Samsung S6  in the same way as others are having with their S7 phones.  I think though I might have solved the problem.  With the S6 and S7 the problem of the phone restarting appeared to occur after updating from Marshmallow to Nougat.  There were some reports that nougat was a more demanding operating system and could causing the device to overheat.  I did notice during flying that the phone got hot.  Going down this line I decided to see what could be done to reduce overheating.  This is what I did.
1. Reduced brightness
2. Closed down any background apps.
3. Turn off Wi-Fi.
4. Turn on POWER SAVING. I chose medium power saving mode, -10% brightness, Speed limiter on, Background network usage  (off).

When I fly under these conditions, as yet I haven't noticed the phone restarting.  If I stabbed a guess as to what was the most important change I made it would probably be turning on the CPU speed limiter.  Reducing the CPU speed should allow the processor to run cooler and thus prevent the phone from shutting down if overheating is the issue.
I would be interested if others with this problem could try these settings and report back. To me it was an easier fix than having to downgrade to marshmallow.

I have not tested yet with dji go for dji phantom version
