Encountered the GEO system for the first time this weekend. I went to a place, near a baseball stadium, that I used to not be able to fly in. Months ago when GEO arrived, suddenly the area was open and I could fly in it. Nothing to do but see a message on the screen.
Sunday I tried and had the Cannot Take Off message - no game had been played that day or would be (or for 24+ hours) Hmmm...
I didn't know how to make GEO kick in - I fooled with it and I have to be honest I forgot what I did but suddenly there it was, GEO asking if I wanted to self-authorize to fly?!
Of course I do; pick from CC or phone - had my phone in my pocket so picked phone. I typed in my cell number and clicked Verify. I received a text from DJI wiht a number almost immediately; 10 seconds later the GO screen says verify falied. But I was never given anywhere to type in the code. I tried this twice.
I switched to credit card, entered my info and 10 seconds later, Safe To Fly (GPS).
So, 2 questions:
What exactly is the proceedure we should follow when we are told Cannot Take Off and we'd like to self-authorize (how do we make the window pop up)?
How do I use my cell phone to verify? Is this a bug or could I have done something wrong?
