I noticed the no-fly zone around DC has been modified during mid August of this year. In looking at the map, it appears a new geofence has been put in place slightly off center from the original 15 mile no-fly area around National Airport.  Given that I have been flying on my property since February 2015, I was surprised to learn the new addition no longer allows me to start my phantom 3 on my property. Does anyone know if this addition is temporary. Or is this a permanent modification.  I have not been able to find any information about this modification or the reason for it. I would appreciate any information anyone may have on this new addition to the no fly zone around DC.

Thanks,
NS

The linked NOTAM list (notice to airman) has a few NOTAMs specifically for Washington DC. They outline no fly areas. I am unsure if DJI has included this in GEO.  It is always beneficial to review NOTAMS and TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) prior to flying.

Also the link below provides the FRZ (Flight restricted zone) for DC
