Last week, I was contacted by the FAA. Someone in the city of Raleigh, NC is calling in "anonymous tips" of responsible, recreational flyers, telling the FAA that they are selling their footage and flying over large populations. These are mostly false tips (says the FAA) but they have to investigate. The "anonymous tip" on me was 100% false. So, all recreational flyers, whether your planning on legally using your drone for commercial use in the future or not, beware there is somebody in Raleigh who has had a 333 exemption for a long time who is calling in false tips to the FAA on people across the east coast(not just in NC)
