Now that many of you have the Inspire 1 I have a question.
For Christmas (and to learn to fly) I purchased a Phantom 2 Vision Plus. I also pre-ordered an Inspire 1 which I cancelled a week before release. I'm a photographer (DSLR) and enjoy the Phantom. I don't like to quality (choppy) of the video when rotating and haven't spent much time taking stills but I don't care for the fisheye curvature. I have until tomorrow to obtain an RMA and send back the Phantom 2V+. It seems many are selling their Phantoms to upgrade to the Inspire. So, now I have just two days to decide. I have the money and really enjoy flying the Phantom. Is the Inspire as easy to fly as the Phantom? If you were me would you send back the Phantom and upgrade? I appreciate your comments.
The I1 will not problem you with fish eye.
Choppy panning while filming can be corrected with frame rate selection and the speed of the pan itself.
Unless you do it right, you might see some choppiness in I1 pans.
The free practice the P2V+ gave you will serve you well with the I1!
The inspire is an incredible machine. But.... There is huge growing pains going on with it right now. You need to be ready to fly without gps assistance. Some people aren't having this issue. I lose gps every flight for some reason. It has to do with the compass.
Phantom 2 V+
Pros: lightweight, more mature product, ready to fly out of the box, cheaper batteries/accessories, longer flight time, easier hand launch/landing.
INSPIRE 1
Pros: Rock Steady, precision built, amazing Camera quality, very responsive, incredible range.
The Cons will be the opp of each other's Pros.
