Has anyone tried the Panasonic LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm F3.5-5.6 Lens on the X5 or X5R yet?

Gee... nobody has beta tested it yet.
Well, I just ordered one, so I will be back with some news once it arrives.

This is pretty nice... I do not have the X5 camera but I am interested in your results. What is the price of the lens?

I am told that it will fit and work on the X5 but the zoom is manual. So, it won't change while flying.... but, I will end up with a 12mm wide angle and a 32mm zoom lens. (Plus anything inbetween) 2 for the price of one! The lens was $179 including shipping. Not a bad deal.
Now, I w a i t ..........

Ok. So I got the lens. Never flew it though.
It was such a bad fit to the X5 that I didn't even bother with balancing it or even turning on the camera.
The diameter wasn't the problem, it was the flange mount. Being plastic instead of metal was the likely cause.
It was so hard to get on the camera that I thought I was going to break it. I also tried it on my GH4. It fit a little better, but not much.
So, I sold it before damaging it.
I think I'll get an Olympus 45mm for close work..............

but it works or not the 12-32mm because i see that i can purchase this lens

If the lens work for my zenmuse x5 because I'm looking for one sheaper lens of 12mm for my x5

OK. As I said at the start of this old thread, it did fit and it did work.
But it fit lousy and didn't work very well at all.
You get what you pay for.

I've got the Olympus 45 and am quite pleased with it. It's about the same as a 90mm on a 35 so it brings things in much closer.
