Beautiful footage - great editing.

One question - I noticed some jerkiness in the footage, I don't get that with my Phantom, is that standard for the Inspire ?

You better check your camera settings. see if it is in "Custom" you have no depth of field.

Nice job on the Video. Notice how sharp the background is in the Video. It should be that way doing a photo also.

I'm guess the focus issues that rodger is pointing out in the stills was done on purpose post production... but that's just a guess based on some of the other post work you did with some of the footage in the videos. Nice work. Just makes me jealous and anxious waiting for mine to come. Thanks for posting though.

Beautiful! One of the first places I thought about flying was VA Beach but I've read most if not all VA Beach is no fly zone because of proximity to airports, military bases. Do you know if this is accurate?

Thats not accurate, i fly in Virginia Beach and surrounding areas.

That depends on what creative output, the cameraman or photographer wants with his film or pictures.

That is correct. All of the south end of the VB Oceanfront is considered no fly since it is a direct path for the Navy landing at the base. The north end gets close to Fort Story which then puts you within the 5 mile aeronautical limit. There is a very small window near First Landing State Park near the Ocean side as well as Broad Bay where you can fly without concern.

I beg to differ Chief...if you check your phone there are multiple apps that tell you VB is extremely restricted if you are following the currently flight rules in place by the FAA. I am not saying people don't do it I am just saying it is not a good idea and you must be diligent in watching your surroundings.

Good job on the videos and the stills.  I get the feeling some readers don't get that the stills are supposed to look that way.  It's called tilt-shift and it makes the objects in the image appear miniature due to the depth of field.  You can do it in Photoshop (there's even a tilt-shift mode in the Blur Gallery) or there are lenses that can produce that affect.  I've tried it with photos taken at ground level but aerial shots capture the effect much better.

Pungo early morning is good shots as well. I just did a set at 6am on sunday. Lot of fog rolling over the water and the fields etc.

I love the winter black-and-white the snow trimmed trees much more appealing than the beach but that's me West Coast we have no snow in Orange County .
Maybe snow cones great video nice music good job!

I'd say it's pretty accurate summary lchambers. I'll happily post the charts for those that want to call BS, most of that area is heavily red zone because of the traffic in and out of Norfolk. Much of that area is considered special use airspace from "surface to unlimited" The only "free" area is on the point around First Landing SP
