Hey Jamie/DJI/Forum,

I'm still setting things up with the Matrice600 + RoninMX shooting with a GH4.   Has anyone in North America (which doesn't allow SRW-60) tried to use the HDMI in order to get a feed?   My question is would I still be a be able to use the DJI GO ap to pick up the live feed, or do I have to revert back to my old monitor/reciever?  I'll find out soon enought but wanted to reduce as much extra work as possible.  Please let me know!

DJI Go app video transmission works through the onboard HDMI, you just need a cable to connect the male hdmi to your micro hdmi on the GH4. Ive found the image transmission to be very spotty. Still trying to dial it all in.

Thanks so much for your reply.  I'll give it a try.

The only thing the SRW 60 does other than drain your battery faster is allow you to  do 360's with the Ronin. It transmits a signal to the receiver  that's connected to the onboard LB2. I suggest using a very short, light guage HDMI cable.

Both johnbarr00 and SkyPod.nyc hit the nail on the head. The only thing I would add is that a good quality HDMI cable will help with the signal transmission.

Hello!

I'm begin to build the Matrice 600 + Ronin-MX, for use with a Sony A7S and Canon 5D.

My doubt is how I can access video-in (is HDMI mini ou regular HDMI?) on LB2, it's by superior or bottom plastic cover?

I can't figure out how setup a GoPro for second FPV camera, because on M600 manual showing only one HDMI video-in, the other port is an analogic video-in, right?

Thanks for help!

Hello!

I'm begin to build the Matrice 600 + Ronin-MX, for use with a Sony A7S and Canon 5D.

When you connect the HDMI cable to the LB2 air end, you would feed the cable to loop under the bottom plate. The cable would not be hidden by the bottom cover. An example would be the image below, minus the SRW-60:
HDMI Wiring.JPG

For your FPV camera, it would have to have an AV input. You should still be able to use your GoPro, but it would be connected via the Mini USB port instead of HDMI.

Any ideas for a HDMI cable?

Do you mean as in which one to use? You would want something long enough to reach the camera, I wouldn't be able to supply a specific brand name. There are plenty of great quality HDMI cables out there that can be long and light enough to do the job.

You would use the diagram as shown on page 64 in the M600 manual, for the exception that you would connect directly to the camera instead of the SRW-60.

It may seem to be hard to reach, but you can see the HDMI port through the battery compartments.

That should be the one that comes with the M600. That cable should be visible once you take off the bottom plastic plate or at least be able to feed it out, it would have a mini HDMI male end. Some customers have used an mini HDMI femaile to mini/micro HDMI male (depending on what your camera needs) cable to extend the length. Please let me know if you can't find the end of that cable.

It's the HDMI cable that's the appropriate length for the SRW-60 connection. You have the option to either replace that cable with a longer cable, or use a mini usb female to a mini/micro usb male end (depending on what your camera needs) cable to make it to your camera's HDMI port.

Ok survived the hurricane ! now back to working on hooking up a Canon camera thru the HDMI cable that was supplied on the M600. I still have the X/5 Gimble on the unit. Will be getting the Ronin-MX this week. My question is when connecting to the HDMI, I went into the App and changed the camera settings to LB from EXT. The Canon came on but was freezing and had poor video transmission warning. I tried moving the bandwidth 80%LB, 20%EXT,  and 50% each still freezing up very unresponsive. I switch back to EXT and X/5 camera works fine. Any suggestions?

Just to make sure I'm visually on the same page, you have your aircraft set up for PIP with both the X5 and the Cannon. Is that notion correct? Do you have the transmission set to high quality or low latency? Is this while it's in the air, or have you only been doing bench tests?

Just want to say that even when set to low latency and 10% HDMI that the transmission signal is extremely poor compared to the inspire.
Not sure there is anything to do to make it better. Kind of feel this is unacceptable given the price of this UAV.

It`s so easy, seems they don`t have exact one which do you need - 90 angled micro hdmi MALE to straight type A FEMALE.
But you can buy two of them and make your own, connectors are interchangeable (as I think)

Hey All,

I would suggest running a loose cable.  Much like a jib/Cammate, I am having better results with using a longer cable, allowing flexibility.
I would love to see a good setup using just an HDMI.  I will post a few photos next time I go out.  I have found that I have to turn my deadband close to OFF to get the best results.
DJI can you give us any updates to to this issue?
Thank you,
David

Hi DJI,

I am experiencing a similar situation.

My Setup:
- M600 with LB2
- SRW-60G
- Ronin-MX
- G7 DSLR
- Go Pro Hero 4 ( for FPV )
- Ronin-MX Remote
- DJI Remote Start/Stop Module

Mission:
I want to use the feed of the FPV from the gopro in the main screen of the UAV pilot. In addition, I want the monitor feed of the G7 camera as a second screen, this being the Ronin-gymbal View and managed by the Director of Photography on a second screen. He can start and stop recording from the Ronin MX Remote.

Previous Procedures:
I had tested FPV with the Hero 4 connected to the supplied HDMI cable of the LB2 (using a female/female HDMI coupler) and I get good feed. I also tested the micro HDMI
OUT from the G7 Camera and also get good feed. Challenge is now how do I connect BOTH ?
