Hi guys,

I've noticed that I have a tilted horizon on a lot of my photos taken with a P3P. I've read through the forums here and on PhantomPilots, and I understand that this is not an uncommon issue. With that being said, my P3P is on warranty until early January of '17, and I'd like to take advantage of it if I have faulty hardware.

The photo attached depicts an extreme, and the tilt isn't typically as severe as shown.

Is this something that can be rectified internally via firmware updates, or is my gimbal bad? I performed an IMU calibration last night, and a gimbal calibration today, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Both calibrations completed successfully on the first attempt.

Thanks!

Hello JDC, you calibrated the IMU in a very leveled place, right? Have you tried to adjust gimbal roll as well?
If still no improvement, it would be best to send it in for analysis and repair by our engineers.
Please send an e-mail to support.us@dji.com for further help.

My brand new Phantom 3 Advanced is facing the same issue. I did the IMU and Gimbal calibration several times even in different places to test if any magnetic interference was causing the problem, but nothing solved the issue. Evaluating the Gimbal I saw it is a little bit tilted to left side.
Could you folks help me with that issue ?

Thanks
Fabio

What kind of surfaces are you placing the aircraft on when performing an IMU calibration?
